Pastor Ray Phillips, Ordained Bishop in the Church of God has served the congregation of Stratford Heights Church of God for 35 years. Born and raised in Ohio, he came into the church as a teenager. He could never have imagined the plan that God had for his life as that young man would go on to serve full time in youth ministry 18 years there and now as Lead Pastor 17 years. Pastor Ray felt a calling to ministry at a young age. He pursued his education and graduated from Lee University. God has blessed the church and the people are mobilized for outreach having become a godly influence and ministry resource to the community of Middletown.

Pastor Ray is known for his love for God’s Word and excellence in Leadership training. He serves as a District Overseer in Ohio and has also served on the Ohio Church of God State Council 14 years. Pastor Ray was excited to have recently completed Level One in Chaplaincy Training determined to finish all levels. One of his greatest passions is serving under the leadership of Director’s Dr. Richard & Dr. Brenda Pace on the International Chaplains Board where he has also just completed 17 years of service. He is honored to be speaking at the Conference this year as Chaplains gather from around the world for ministry inspiration, training, and fellowship together.
